“Your life has been a gift, not just to the United Kingdom, but to the world. And it is gratitude for your leadership and your kindness you have shown me and your family that I say may the light of your crown continue to reign supreme”~ Barack Obama The Trooping of the Colour has marked the official birthday of The British Sovereign for over 260 years now. I don’t think any Royal Monarch has been as beloved as our current Queen.Michael was a very well respected English photographer who worked primarily for the esteemed London Sunday Times. He was asked to cover this special occasion and captured this magical image. Even though it was June and supposed to be Summer, here it is pouring with rain. With her customary patience and stoicism she has displayed during her many years of service, she doesn’t blink an eyelid. The show has to go on, regardless.Courtesy of Peter Fetterman Gallery
