ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS WORK

Bruce was on assignment for the great magazine “Holiday” during the 1960’s and created one of his most powerful photo essays, in Wales documenting the coal mining towns there. He brought his empathetic objectivity and great eye to these communities. I think this is the greatest image from this series. It bookends life’s journey with such heart and tenderness and joy with the child singing in a burst of energy.
