“We are only beginning to learn what to say in a photograph. The world we live in is a succession of fleeting moments, anyone of which might say something significant”

~ Alfred Eisenstaedt

ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS WORK

Alfred Eisenstaedt was a small man with a giant talent. One of the most important photojournalists of his era and probably Life Magazine's most prolific contributor. One great image followed by another great image over a long career ..

This image is one of the joys of what I do. I recently came across this photograph, and I believe it to be a unique print. None of the “Life Magazine” scholars have ever seen it before. The magic of New York at holiday is captured so brilliantly in this single frame. We wish all our friends and clients and our truly wonderful photographers, a happy and healthy Holiday season, with best wishes for a calmer 2024
