 #1168 - William Claxton

"All I ask you to do is to listen with your eyes. The international language of jazz and photography need no special education or sophistication to be enjoyed."

~ William Claxton

ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS WORK

William Claxton was one of the greatest jazz photographers. He gained fame for his iconic images of jazz musicians that were a part of the scene in the 1950s and 1960s. He photographed everyone, Chet Baker, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, you name it.

But this is a very special photograph. It's jazz at its best, performed with true soul on the streets of New York, moving its listeners and holding their attention. A great authentic New York moment.
