#1194 - Sebastião Salgado

“We had no idea about what we would find because it was the first time in my life that I would photograph landscapes and animals. Until then, I had only photographed one animal species in my career: the human being. So, it was an exceptional challenge”

~ Sebastião Salgado

ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS WORK

Sebastião spent eight long and hard years traveling the globe to produce his epic love poem to nature in his acclaimed, “Genesis” project. He found beauty everywhere and this image has such a power, in both a real and abstract way. The documentary “The Salt of the Earth” is surely one of the greatest documentaries ever made on any photographer. It offers insight into the amount of passion and dedication it takes to create any great photographic body of work.
