“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the care she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with every passing year”

~ Audrey Hepburn

It was easy to understand why Sid was the photographer of choice in the golden age of Hollywood before the word “streaming” was ever heard of. Streaming.. what’s that?

Going to the cinema was a much anticipated event full of excitement and expectation. Stars were true stars in every sense of the word. It was truly a special era. There was no star bigger or brighter than Audrey Hepburn. She loved and respected Sid who had the most joyful and positive manner. All the actors in Hollywood loved him.

In his last years I could count on him always turning up between 2-3 pm every Saturday afternoon at my gallery, without fail, to check up on me and to regal our audience with his wonderful anecdotes. I sure miss him and those movies.
