“There is no scientific study more vital to man than the study of his own brain. Our entire view of the universe depends on it”
~ Francis Crick“Sir Francis was absolutely adorable. He had a twinkle in his eye and a tremendous sense of humor and humility abut him- this from the man who discovered the DNA double-helix.We had wonderful conversations about science and metaphysics. This shot, taken at the Salk Institute optimizes the style and sophistication of the man”
~ Norman Seeff
Francis Crick was a British physicist, molecular biologist and neuroscientist, most noted for being one of the co-discovers of the structure of the DNA molecule in 1953.
Norman trained initially as a doctor in South Africa before he left to pursue his own artistic adventures in America and no doubt this background allowed him to converse freely with a man of science. A tribute to Norman’s talent and insight that he can draw the essence out of anyone through his intelligence be it a rock star, or a writer, or one of the great minds of the 20th Century.
